Councillor Shortt was first elected to the Parish Council in May 1999.  John has had close family connections with Repton since childhood and has lived in the village for over 30 years.  He is delighted that Repton Parish Council received Quality Council accreditation in 2008 giving it the professional status to best represent the developing needs of the community.

Councillor Jerram was first elected to the Parish Council in June 2004. He is the Parish Council's representative on Repton Village Hall Management Committee.  Chris has lived in Repton for about 50 years off and on, and welcomes the opportunity to put something back into the community in which he grew up. He is not averse to change provided it is to the benefit of the village as a whole.

Councillor McArdle was first elected to the Parish Council in May 2003, and is a member of the Playing Fields, Burial Ground and Allotments Working Group.  She is a Governor for Repton Primary School where she is employed as Bursar.  Barbara's particular interest is in maintaining the local public footpath and bridleway network for runners, riders and cyclists like herself.

After 30 years in the Army he moved to Repton in 1988 as Bursar of Repton Prep School until retirement in 1997. John is also Treasurer of the Repton and District Branch of the Royal British Legion.

Councillor John Perks was elected to the Council in May 2011.  He is married to Karen and together they have brought up their four children in Repton since moving here in 1979.  As well as his current involvement with the Village Hall and Friday Lunch Club he is now working on the 2012 Repton Diamond Jubilee celebrations and hopes that this will be an event that involves all the organisations and people of the Parish.

The Clerk to the Council is the paid officer of the Parish Council and is responsible for implementing the resolved policies of the council.  Susan joined Repton Parish Council in June 2010 and is working to obtain her Certificate in Local Council Administration, which is an essential requirement for a council holding Quality Council accreditation.
